Dream a Little Dream...

Today I thought I would write about the crazy (and I mean CRAZY) dreams women have during pregnancy. Our lives are changing. Our bodies are changing. Our hormones are changing. Since I found out I was pregnant, I have been having dreams that are tainted with the worries and joys of pregnancy. They are very detailed and filled with vivid features and bright colors. Trippy.... ;) I have read that dreams are simply our mind's way of working out worries, excitement, fear, and apprehension. I, personally, have been digesting both positive and negative feelings through my dreams.

A few examples:

~Matt took me to look at houses in a "gangster" neighborhood full of jail birds. We were driving my dream car (White Range Rover) and everyone was staring at us. Then, we were introduced to a few guys that lived in the area. They were mean at first. So, I told them I was pregnant and to be nice. Then they wanted to go for a ride in our car. As we were driving, they mentioned that everyone was looking at us. They apologized for judging us as "yuppies" and we apologized for calling them "gangsters". We all lived happily ever after.
~I went into labor at a Bodybuilding show (there is one in April here in Boise). I was so embarrassed and was screaming at everyone telling them not to stand by my legs-only at my head. I told them if they wanted to see anything they had to be at least 50 feet away from me. Debbie, a gal I train with who will be in the show in April, helped me deliver. Thanks Debbie!
~I went into labor at home. I called a moving crew to help me move into the hospital (I am an over-packer). They boxed everything up and delivered my necessities. I had the baby and everything was wonderful-except for the fact that it was as big as it is right now...an inch and a half. Weird. I had the tiny thing swaddled up in a blanket and carried it around in the palm of my hand. Seconds after delivering, I jumped up, got dressed, and started carrying the boxes back into the truck myself.
~Apollo (our English Mastiff) loves his "babies" (toys). After I delivered, he carried the actual baby around in his mouth! I was constantly wiping slobber off of our baby. Apollo loved it and treated it like one of his own. They got along well and the baby would laugh hysterically as it bounced around with Apollo.

So there you go. These dreams were just from the past 2 nights! I can only imagine what is in store for me over the next 7 months... :)

Have a wonderful day everyone!

My dreams were totally vivid too. I had scary ones, but the best one when I was pregnant with Baylee was the full on image of what she looked like. This was before I knew I was having a girl. When I looked at here after she was born I knew I had already seen this child because every feature was from my dream! Amazing what your body and mind go through when your pregnant. What bump? You look great!
