Memorial Day Weekend...

Last weekend we put almost 1000 miles on the Rover! We drove to Idaho Falls on Friday to see my parents and spent the weekend there. On Saturday, we took a day trip to West Yellowstone National Park and Jackson Hole. It is ALWAYS great to see my family. I miss my parents every day and wish they would move to Boise!!! (hint hint) I think they were surprised when they saw me. There is no doubt I am pregnant now! We just saw them about a month ago too. A lot of things can happen in a month of pregnantness (not a word, I know).
West Yellowstone was fun-more fun for Matt I think. He truly loves wildlife and he acted like he was in a big playground. It was 30 degrees and snowing there-which was a little crazy. We saw a bear cross the street 20 yards from our car, a buffalo 10 yards away, moose (I call them mooses), and elk (about 1500 of them!). Again, this type of thing excites my husband a lot more than myself, but it was still beautiful. Jackson was okay. It was so busy there that it drove both of us nuts.
The rest of the weekend was family time. We helped my parents a little with their yard (wait till you see pictures this summer-it is amazing) but the weather was not cooperating. We also went to a couple cemeteries to remember those we have lost. This weekend was also the "anniversary" of my Grandma's (Nownie) death 6 years ago. Not a day to remember, but truly a life to remember every day. She taught all of us so much and we all miss her dearly. I love to reminisce about her. I think it is my way of saying I never want to forget her. I like to talk about her and our memories. I know she is up there looking down on us smiling...
